Please help support the people of Kashmir to rebuild their lives and their communities after encountering their worst flood in over 100 years via our #AidKashmir campaign.
In early September, torrential rains fell upon Kashmir and lead to catastrophic flooding affecting millions of people. Stagnant floodwaters, full of debris and hazardous waste, are creating terribly unsanitary conditions and contributing to the spread of waterborne illnesses and other health epidemics. These developments have led us to volunteer with Kashmir Foundation to help the people of Kashmir overcome these challenges.
Our #AidKashmir campaign is designed to address the need for safe, clean drinking water. We have committed to purchase 2,000 high-volume LifeStraw® Community water purifiers. This product provides clean drinking water in community settings and helps prevent water-borne diseases such as typhoid, worms, and cholera. A single LifeStraw® Community water purifier can purify between 18,000 - 26,000 gallons of water -- enough to provide 25 people with drinking water for about 3 years.
Kashmir Foundation was founded in 1995 and is dedicated to education, empowerment and environmental protection for Kashmir. As a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, Kashmir Foundation is supported entirely by private donations and your contribution may be tax-deductible.
Please support our efforts by contributing at www.kashmirfoundation.us, so that we can fulfill our pledge to #AidKashmir by providing safe, clean drinking water. Lastly, please help raise awareness via our #AidKashmir campaign on Twitter @kashmirfoundn.
